WizeFEST® Frequently Asked Questions
WizeFEST? Whatever will I wear? WizeFEST is a casual event – dress comfortably. Wear sneakers or comfortable shoes. You will be doing a lot of walking. Also, bring a sweater or jacket because the training rooms are chilly at times.
When do I get my name badge?
You can pick up your name badge at the Registration Desk when WizeFEST opens.
Do I need to wear my name badge for the entire event?
Yes. Your WizeFEST 2008 name badge is your ticket to the General Sessions, training classes, meals, and social events during WizeFEST. If you aren’t wearing your name badge, you will not be allowed to enter any events.
What if I lose my name badge?
Simply bring your legal identification with you to the WizeFEST 2008 Information Desk and ask for a replacement name badge.
Why can’t I move my chair around in those rowdy General Sessions? We set up the chairs according to the rules of the fire marshal. Your comfort is important to us, but your safety comes first!
Where’s the beef?
Breakfast and lunch will be provided Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Each person is allowed one meal with their name badge.
Thursday night we are hosting “Community Connections,” a networking reception, from 6:30pm – 9:00pm. This event is a great opportunity to connect with other traders in your area, city and state. Join us and your fellow traders for some light appetizers before you enjoy dinner on the town.
Friday night is the not-to-be-missed “Old West at WizeFEST” BBQ Dinner. Spend quality time with your family, other traders, and the entire GlobalTec team. And, by all means, dress the part in your most comfortable Western gear!
On Saturday, you are invited to network with other traders who trade the same market as you. The Customer Networking Lunch is scheduled 12:30pm – 1:30pm before the day’s General Session.
What is the difference between the two WizeFEST hotel rates at the Sheraton Dallas?
The price of $129.00 is for a standard room while the $159.00 room is upgraded featuring in-room high-tech workspaces complete with high speed Internet access and wireless phones.
Is there a parking fee at the Sheraton Dallas?
As an attendee of WizeFEST, you will receive a discount off self-parking at the Sheraton Dallas. The special price is $6.00 per day. In order to receive this rate, be sure to ask for the WizeFEST discount when entering the lot. Valet parking is $18.00 per night with unlimited in and out privileges.

I like to keep my portfolio and my tummy in shape. Can I use the Sheraton Dallas Fitness Center?
If you are staying at the Sheraton Dallas, the Fitness Center is complimentary. The Fitness Center is open from 5:30am – 9:30pm.
These new Power Bonus Sessions are great, but they make me late for dinner! Can I leave early?
These classes were added for customers who just can’t get enough training at WizeFEST. We understand these classes may not be convenient for everyone due to their time slot. Because of this fact, we have only scheduled a few classes during this time. Please be courteous to your trainers and fellow traders who want these limited seats and attend these classes only if you are prepared to stay for their entirety.
Do I need to register for the WizeFEST 2008 training classes of my choice?
No. You can simply attend the classes you select without any pre-registration.
Will I be able to download the WizeFEST 2008 training classes that I attend and the ones I missed?
Yes. As a registered WizeFEST 2008 attendee (only), you will be able to access the PowerPoint and recorded audio of every WizeFEST 2008 training class. Once again, we are bringing the dynamic training of WizeFEST to you! For a refresher of the classes you attend, or to view classes you are not able to fit into your busy WizeFEST schedule, visit our online classrooms anytime from the comfort of your own home. They will be available through the end of 2008, so there’s plenty of time to take in all of the class offerings.
Can I bring my children or spouse to WizeFEST?
We encourage you to take advantage of our special and get your second ticket at half-price!! Bring your spouse so you both can enjoy the full range of events! We also encourage you to bring your children over 16 who have a trading interest and start them on their WizeFEST journey. If your child is under 16, and you believe they have the maturity and the interest to sustain your intense training schedule, you are welcome to bring them. However, everyone who attends WizeFEST must purchase a ticket. |
